Somewhere & Nowhere

From this town to that city, night drops the same dark curtain and artificial sources shine the same light. Images in this series aim to challenge a viewer’s sense of place by shifting the tangible to intangible with distorted views resulting from camera motion and streaking light; this technique normalizes the landscape and renders one city indistinguishable from another, leaving the viewer to ponder whether it is somewhere familiar or nowhere in particular.
